I'm back from Las Vegas and Virtuoso Travel Week! I was one of over 4,700 attendees from 97 countries gathered to reconnect, share news and updates, and deepen relationships throughout our global network of Virtuoso travel agencies and travel suppliers. I engaged in well over a hundred individual meetings, lunches, receptions, and dinners with important travel partners to keep Nine Muses Travel and my clients (you!) fresh in the minds of the world's most recognized and prestigious brands. Did it take a lot of energy and could I have fallen dead asleep at 7pm each night? Sure. But was it also a ton of fun? Definitely!
2024 was my sixth Virtuoso Travel Week, and each year is more exciting than the last; our bookings continue to grow with travel suppliers, and since I even travel with some of them throughout the year, real friendships and treasured connections develop. When we reunite now in Las Vegas, it's really nice to see (and hug) colleagues I've talked with all year over the phone, email, or Zoom. Our travel tribe is filled with empathetic, talented, creative, problem-solving souls who love to serve and make others happy through our best efforts at creating magical moments in our clients' lives. There's no amount of AI-generated anything that can compare with working with a travel advisor who genuinely cares about your happiness and safety - so much so that we make a career out of it!
Tomorrow is the sixth anniversary of Nine Muses Travel, and I'm so proud to be your travel advisor. You should hear how I talk about you to suppliers. In meetings I'm often asked who are my clients - meaning what your demographics are like. Our Nine Muses Travel community spans all ages from young children with their parents, working adults in their 20's and beyond, and many retirees too. You're all different races and love who you love and identify how you identify. You travel with your families, your spouses and partners, your friends, and by yourselves a lot too. What I say you have in common: You tend to be highly educated, and you don't want to be seen as simply a tourist. You want to learn about the history and culture of a place, try the cuisine, respect and support local communities, and have authentic experiences while you discover the world. I literally say, "They're the BEST kind of travelers." And our global travel partners all agree.
