The most epic travel event of the year is here! Virtuoso Travel Week kicked off Sunday night with its first-ever hybrid model this year; some are attending in person back at Las Vegas' Bellagio and Aria hotels, while 1,800 of us (me included) opted to keep it virtual this year. Do I have FOMO and wish I was in Vegas? YES. Do I enjoy engaging in back-to-back appointments while barefoot from the comfort of home? YES! Virtuoso upped their virtual game this year with lots of fun behind-the-scenes interviews and content just for us attending virtually. The scale of this travel event is off the charts, and I love it!

This week I'm finalizing my own travel arrangements to Italy in October for a Tuscan tourism board event I'm invited to attend, and I'm so excited to plan some pre/post visits too. Just as I'm looking at flight schedules, United announced it's the first airline to require all employees to be vaccinated by five weeks after full FDA approval of a vaccine or five weeks after September 20th - whichever comes first. Earlier this year Delta announced all new employees must be vaccinated too.
Popular escorted tour company, Collette, also announced guests must be vaccinated before international departures from September 1, 2021 – April 30, 2022 to ensure access to sites around the world now requiring proof of vaccine.
